Point 'n Click Google Maps Directions

I recently started playing with the Google Maps API, and thought it would be a cool idea to be able to get directions between 2 points without having to enter any address or location, just by clicking on the map. This is a really rough version, but I'll probably add some more features in the next few days. Let me know if you have any ideas..

I was surprised to see there were no comments. This is a really great idea because I often could care less about getting directions from my home to the destination. I'd like to click on a highway entrance say and get directions from there. I'd say send your idea to Google because it should be an option on any map they provide. I found your site by searching for "Point and click maps", so there must be some use for it.

Thanks, John Wahl

Thanks for your comment John. I guess I was too late with my Point and Click idea as Google just released the feature last week (a few days after I wrote this script...). You can now click on a map and choose "Directions from here" or "Directions to here". I'm sure a lot of people must have requested it.

The Google Maps API lets you embed Google Maps in your own web pages. Looking forward to know some more features.
